Born in 1968 in Chrzanów, Poland.
Kotowicz began his education at the Secondary Scholl of Fine Arts in Nowy Wiśnicz, and in the years 1989-1994 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 1994 he got a degree with honours from the Copperplate Engraving Studio. He practises pastel and easel painting as well as print making. He has participated in numerous domestic and international plein air events in Poland, Italy, Greece, Slovakia, Ukraine, Lithuania and India. Kotowicz is a member of Union of Polish Artist, the Association of Polish Pastelists and the Association of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow.
His works are presented in:
The Historical Museum of the City of Cracow, the State Museum at Majdanek, the Regional Museum in Nowy Sącz as well as in collections in Poland, Austria, France, Germany, Sweden, the USA, Japan, Slovakia, Lithuania and Italy.
